I’m really looking forward to putting all the pieces of my new routine together this week. Last week as you know was all about swimming as Lisa and I headed over to the University for our first two Master’s classes. Dvds are great especially if you’re a little nervous about trying a group class at the gym. If you get tired using a DVD at home, you can rest without feeling judged and workout in any clothing you find to be comfortable. That’s when I personally break out my short shorts ;)

If you have a game system, head over to redbox and rent their Just Dance Game or Zumba title. You’ll forget you’re working out when you’re having so much fun. This is one of my favorite ways to sweat after a long day at work if I’m dreading a drive to the gym.

But realistically if I was to get one thing that would help me stay active I think it would be a heart rate monitor so I could see how many calories I’m really burning.
