Ultimate Girl’s Weekend- Zooma Half Marathon Amelia Island

I relish having time with my girlfriends.  They always know how to give you a dash of needed perspective, make you laugh till you cry, and give you that extra push to try something new. I’ve been so lucky this year in that I’ve been able to spend lots of time with the girls. Every time we get together it’s an epic adventure filled with hilarity, midnight venting sessions, and a lot of fun.

When I heard that the Zooma race series was coming to Amelia Island in January I was ecstatic!! What’s a better girl’s weekend than one that involves a half marathon?! I quickly visited their website and immersed myself in all the incredible race details. Sometimes I think planning for a race is almost the best part of the whole experience. If you don’t already know, they are magical experts at creating the perfect women’s race experience. Signing up gets you:

  • Access to a full weekend of yoga
  • Sponsored cocktail hours (yes I had to highlight and underline that. Free drinks and your best buds is WINNING in my book)
  • Necklace designed exclusively for ZOOMA for all finishers. Bling?! um yes please!
  • ZOOMA Signature Swag Bag (over $50 value)
  • Post-race massage (aaa the relaxation), shopping and live music at the ZOOMA After-Party Expo.
  • Water, Cytomax Sports Performance drink, Muscle Milk Light and food at the finish line
  • Wine from Barefoot Wine & Bubbly at the After-Party Expo

Gah look at this view!! Someone at Zooma knew that the ultimate girl’s weekend included having a race at the fancy Ritz Carlton.

Are you stoked yet? I have even more amazing news. Today only if you register using my 10% off discount code FLAMB2 Zooma will donate $10 to the charity I picked:

If you haven’t noticed, I really love animals. I’ve rescued two dogs from shelters and volunteered at my local Humane society in Miami regularly. Pets enrich our lives in so many incredible ways. They are selfless, loyal, and innocent creatures that deserve a chance at a loving forever home. The Jacksonville Humane society is a no kill shelter that saves animals from euthanization. They meet weekly with animal control shelters and rescue those pets that are going to be killed. If you check out their stats on Charity Navigator, 84% of funds raised go towards their mission of helping animals Charity Navigator Humane Society. Go sign up today and help make a difference in their lives as an added bonus to your race registration :)

Also, if you sign up with code FLAMB2 before November 4th, Zooma will send you a training care package free with fun goodies and essentials you’ll need to prepare for the race.

Just picture you and bunch of friends (both old and new because you’ll definitely meet tons this weekend) relaxing at the pool, sipping free drinks, catching up, taking advantage of the discounted spa services, getting lots of swag, and running 13.1 miles together. Heaven on earth.

Register Here. I really hope to see you there!

Have you ever raced in a Women’s series?

I hear the same thing. I was nearby for a race once but haven’t actually visited. I can’t wait until next year! Have you done any women’s races or plan to?
