The day that was seemed so far away a few months ago, finally arrived when we moved on Saturday along with the help of very gracious family and friends. Guys, It was the worst workout I’ve ever had because it never seemed to end! We finished packing Friday night at 3 a.m. then got up around 7 a.m. Saturday to haul things back and forth before the 6 hour U-Haul deadline arrived. Sunday was an all day cleaning marathon, as we wiped, dusted, spackled, vacuumed and polished every nook and cranny of our old house to make sure they return our massive deposit to us.I can tell you that I usually love feeling sore but this soreness was evil and lingered 4 wobble filled days. Such a jerk.
But,I finally get to enjoy my new place and am looking forward to all the fun
spending decorating ahead!
Isn’t it purty?! It’s in my favorite neighborhood in the city and I feel incredibly lucky to have found it. It was quite the fluke because it wasn’t listed on the market. The landlord originally showed me a 1 bedroom on a second floor at another building but I mentioned that having my treadmill would probably make it impossible for me to take the place. So he showed me this gorgeous apartment on the first floor even though it under construction. I knew it’d be perfect once completed and immediately applied I was approved, the apartment was completed, and we are living happily ever after!
So because I started school recently, I haven’t had a lot extra time to organize and unpack. There are still quite a few boxes left and I’ve decided to spare you the anxiety producing pictures of that mess. Instead, I’ll show you what I’m super proud of so far:
My Fuel Drawer. It’s beautiful, it makes me smile, and I love how colorful it is!
My favorite room right now is the Kitchen. #1 It looks the nicest because there are no boxes in sight! and #2 My washer dryer is the best thing EVER! Let me explain. I loathe going to laundromats. There are either creepy guys that stare, people arguing, kids running around, or I have to drive far out and waste time out there waiting for my clothes to finish. Having a washer dryer in my new place was a major priority and I eliminated places that didn’t have them. Thus, having them is the most beautiful thing I can imagine right now.
In other news, the one class I was most nervous about has turned out to be amazing so far.
Just goes to show you that a cool teacher can make hard subjects like Chemistry doable. She is funny, sarcastic, understanding, and an expert because she’s been teaching this for 22 years. I am so very grateful to be learning with her. Who knows, maybe I will be a chem loving convert after this? nah. Probably not.
So what’s new with you??
Ever had a teacher change your mind about a subject?
