Happy Friday everyone!! Woooooo! If I could drum to show my excitement it would look like Animal from the Muppets:
As if the holidays couldn’t get any better, there are tons of shopping deals going on right now. I commemorated this beautiful Friday morning with the purchase of a Michael Kors Iphone wallet that’s on sale plus an extra 40% off at NeimanMarcus.com!! It came out to just $42
They also have a vanilla, gold python, and black logo option available.
In other news, I found out the results of my comprehensive blood test from the Nutrilite NYC Trip (If you missed the posts here are Post 1, Post 2, and Post 3 of the experience.)
Everything else is fine except for:
My Iron Saturation is: 12% and marked as low out of 15-55
Vitamin D is: 24.4 and marked low out of 30-100
Thyroid TSH is 5.29 and marked high out of .450-4.500
LDL Cholesterol is 106 and marked high out of 0-99
My natural response is to freak out but I’ll just wait for the call from Dr. Kip Johnson to explain everything before I start worrying more than I have to. I am banned from Googling medical information people! If you catch me with a furrowed brow or an Edvard Munch Scream face, slap me and tell me to get a hold of myself, then take my computer away.
On to other business, the winner of the Netzero 4g hotspot and 3 months of service is the lovely Erin from Live Life Active. If you haven’t checked out her blog yet head on over! She’s such an inspiration and I just can’t get over how amazing her transformation is:
I really want to work hard in 2013 to have a bikini body I can be proud of. Which reminds me, I need a little help from you. Please please help me decide on whether I should buy a treadmill! I almost pulled the trigger today but decided I should think this over a little more.
I currently belong to the YMCA gym and pay about $39 a month. If I’m honest with myself, it’s a total drag to schlep out there and I haven’t been using it as much as I’d like. When I do make the trip, using the treadmills there are such a pain. I think I want to work out at home more for now but I am undecided.
Tell me dear readers:
Do you have a treadmill at home?or have you thought about buying one?
If you have one do you use it often?
Did you keep your gym membership?
What do you have planned for this weekend?
I’m going to do a little more shopping with the gift cards I got for Christmas
Till Next Time,
Road Jane

I do have a treadmill and it gets used quite often by everyone. Well worth the investment. Erin looks awesome!

aah thank you for the input! I’m showing this as proof to Ryan if he mentions that people don’t use them much once they buy them lol! I agree, Erin looks really amazing. If only I could be so disciplined
I had a treadmill for several years and ran the belt out of it – which (the extra running) earned me a bum IT band so I actually sold it and got an elliptical which I still have. About a year ago I decided my knee was better and hit the road again… When the weather started getting cooler (here in Jax) and the time change made it difficult to run in daylight, I bought another treadmill which I love! I like to run early in the morning and finally feel safe doing so. I still like the pavement too and save my long runs for the weekends when I can run outside. I bought it on “black friday” this year and it has been a great investment. *Last Saturday when it was 24 outside, I did my long run on the treadmill. Peaceful!
Laurel that’s such a great idea! I love how you use the best of both worlds. I’m definitely going to do this when I buy it because it’s tough for me to get motivated & brave enough to workout outside in the mornings during the week. I wouldn’t want to give up the roads completely either so a weekend long run outdoors would be perfect. YOU ARE BRILLIANT!!
PS – Those blood results aren’t horrible – and several of those markers can be affected by foods you consume in the hours and days before your test – even if the test is fasting…
Thanks lol that actually makes me feel better. The test was fasting but I admit I had a few drinks the night before. Maybe that skewed it a little?? Either way I’ve been taking supplements and will try having another test done in the future.
We have a treadmill in our basement (itz a TRU and amazing) but we both kept our gym memberships – I could never give that up. I love the atmosphere, the people, all the equipment, the environment, the whole thing!

Holy crap Linz, those TRU machines look incredible! I’m officially jealous
Can I come over!? j/k I’ll probably be getting a Proform because it’s all I can afford right now. Thanks to you though I’ll be keeping my gym membership in the meantime. You reminded me how much I love the atmosphere & I really enjoy the group classes they have like Bodypump and Zumba. Thanks for the advice chica!!
I’m not a treadmill person although we have one in our basement. I can only keep myself on there for like a mile so I use it do interval type workouts. I like my gym membership and try to use it at least 2-3 times a week. (although I also work there, so that helps!)

Yeah I agree! I think treadmills are great for interval workouts. They are precise and intervals keeps things interesting on an otherwise boring apparatus. Ah working at a gym has to be the ultimate no excuses job
You’re so lucky!!
Venipuncture is useful as it is a relatively non-invasive way to obtain cells and extracellular fluid (plasma) from the body for analysis. Since blood flows throughout the body, acting as a medium for providing oxygen and nutrients, and drawing waste products back to the excretory systems for disposal, the state of the bloodstream affects, or is affected by, many medical conditions. For these reasons, blood tests are the most commonly performed medical tests…*:’
