In just a few days I’ll be running my 3rd Princess Half Marathon with 26,000 other princesses at Disney World. Holy Crap! First, that’s a lot of runners right!? Second, how amazing is that!?!? Where else can you run and be surrounded by a huge field of women dressed in costume and be surrounded by so much positivity, hope, and triumph?
Oh and mega CONGRATS to everyone that is becoming a Perfect Princess!! (Ran every single princess half since they started making this sweet number 5.) I wish I had gotten into running sooner so I could’ve joined the select club of 324 women that accomplished the feat. Way to go chicas!! I believe Disney is planning on giving them a few special extra treats for being so loyal and royal like a unique ribbon for the medal and other goodies.
This is also the first year I’ll be going there solo so if you see me out there please come chat me up! I’m signed up to go to a few meetups through the Run Disney & Princess Half Facebook groups and will also be at the Zooma Party Saturday.
(2012) I wonder if they’ll do this photo opp again this year near the packet pick up?

My costume this year is still up in the air. I was thinking I may wear my Cinderella outfit from my first half to make it all full circle and crap but now I don’t know.
First of all, my hair is no longer blonde and hell I’m pretty sure I will want to shop my brains out buy some sparkle skirts and a million other things at the expo. If you have never been to the princess expo, it is massive and will test your resolve many times over.
You will ask yourself if you really need a princess decal, key chain, mug, t-shirt, sleeves, tattoo, etc. and end up saying eff it,YES I DO, because you inhaled too much fairy dust when it was sprinkled on you by the fairy godmother. No really. There are people dressed up in costume that will cover you in glitter if you ask. Ah Disney, I love your crazy ways.

And I still also have my Alice costume from Disneyland Half. This has to be my all time favorite costume! I even had a little bottle that said Drink me 
But alas, I am still no longer blonde. So it looks like it’ll be a mystery reveal this weekend
Anyone have any ideas? What other character has dark hair that I can dress up as?

I vote for Belle!!!! I love all your costumes. I did the first Princess and haven’t gotten back. Too hard to make 2 Disney trips so close together. Good luck this weekend and have fun!

I did the Princess 2 years ago as Jasmine. I found a Tech T in that color and made myself some harem pants to go with it. And a nice headband too.

Good luck – can’t wait to see the costume! I ran Princess in 2010 but probably wouldn’t run it again, course had too many highways. I’m a scenery person and that course sadly doesn’t have it. I’d like it if more was in the parks. The medals look like they have gotten even nicer, and they definitely have sweet medals! Enjoy!

Good luck and have fun! The Princess half is actually what got me into distance running last year, but it was too late to train/register for it. I’ve now run a few other runDisney races, but I still need to get out there for princess!
